Boat plans. here we show the boats for which we do plans and/or suggested hardware lists. they come form the drawing boards of iain oughtred, francois vivier and roger dongray, all of whom have contributed hugely to the idea that boats can be as individual (dare i say characterful?) as their builders.. George whisstock started work at the yard in 1962, gaining hands-on practical experience in all aspects of yacht handling, repair, construction and design. george spearheaded the introduction of west™ system wood-epoxy construction to the yard in the 1970’s, making whisstocks was the first boatyard in the uk to build west™ system boats professionally.. The history of this boat, like her little sister the wwp 15, goes way back. an earlier version, the hms 18, was introduced in 1970. that version had slightly different dimensions (shorter, beamier, deeper draft, more ballast) and sold for $2,600 in 1973..
